A LETTER FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ARUBA
“It was the goal of the University of Aruba to have a speaker that would inspire our general public and encourage critical thinking that would help shift our usual conversations in society. John Perkins delivered and much more than that. John Perkins inspired all that he met with the personal transformation story of his own life. He educated us about the kind of death economy that we are conditioned into believing is the only reality possible and held out the hope and vision of a life economy that honors life and recognizes the value of deep relationship and connection. He did a beautiful job of reflecting back to us Arubans what he saw and reminded us of that which we take for granted: that we drink the ocean in a glass of water and that we are on the forefront of recognizing how wind and sun are partners in allowing us to live a modern life of conveniences and balance.”

A LETTER FROM DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS SUSTAINABILITY AT UMASS DARTMOUTH
I’m writing to tell you how delighted we were to host John Perkins here! This is the third time we have asked him to speak at UMass Dartmouth, and each time he has come he’s brought not only his sharp insight into the political, economic and environmental landscape but also his warm humor. Our students, faculty, and community members love him and crowd around him before and after his talks.
As someone who spends most of my time thinking about all the destruction going on across the planet, it is hopeful and healing to work with a man who has seen the darkest parts of humanity but remains optimistic and committed to the future. We are all thrilled to be working on an educational initiative that bears John’s name and we look forward to many more of his visits.
I would encourage any educational institution that is looking for an eloquent and inspiring speaker with a deep understanding of the dilemmas facing the human race to invite John Perkins to join them.
Thanks so much for arranging his visit!

A LETTER FROM PASADENA CITY COLLEGE HISTORY DEPARTMENT
We are writing to express our appreciation for your help to organize Mr. John Perkins to visit and give an insightful lecture at Pasadena City College on April 10, 2012. Our event was held at the Creveling Lounge, which holds upward of three hundred people, and the entire room was filled to capacity making it necessary for us to use our overflow room with a live feed of the event. All in attendance were eager to hear John’s message of personal responsibility for social change and justice.
John Perkins’ message of how individuals can put pressure on the corporations to conduct business around the globe with ethics and sustainability as their main focus was taken to heart by all our students, faculty, staff, and surrounding community in attendance. John’s message is inspiring and his delivery fills those in attendance with hope, motivation, and desire for this much needed change. What sets John Perkins apart from other critical views of our system is that he provides his readers and listeners with viable solutions to solve our current issues.
Once again we want to say thanks to you and to Mr. Perkins for having made this event a great success. We look forward to possibly hosting another event like this in the future.

A LETTER FROM OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM
This was the first time John Perkins came to OSU campus to give a talk, which drew over 750 people from the campus and local community. Our students, faculty and community members enjoy his very inspiring and thought-provoking talk about the state of political economy and environment in our world. Moreover, his warmth and passion were contagious that transpire hope and energy to the audience amid the seemingly gloomy warnings he gave.
Our students were enormously impressed by his very approachable manner. After his talk, he spent another 80 minutes signing books and talking with audience, and still has the enthusiasm and energy to have a drink and talk with our students until passed midnight. One seldom finds a speaker that is both inspiring and with such great warmth toward audience, especially students.

A LETTER FROM THE MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR AT MARLBORO COLLEGE
I’m writing to express our appreciation for your assistance in arranging the John Perkins lecture atMarlboroCollegeon April 24, 2008. We drew over 400 people into the Persons Auditorium from the college and surrounding community, making it by far the largest event during the spring semester.
Perkins’ message of positive action fit perfectly with Marlboro’s philosophy of self-directed study. He used concrete examples of initiatives already undertaken by young people to illustrate how our students could also make an impact. While many lectures surrounding politics and economics are rife with cynicism, Perkins was inspiring to all who attended.
We look forward to Mr. Perkins next book and to working with Booth Media Group again on future events. Thank you.
